Obtaining a handicap

How to Obtain a Handicap

A key ingredient of integrating at the club is playing competitive golf.  Whether this is a relaxed and informal social roll up or the monthly medal you will need to obtain a handicap.  We are here to help make this as easy as possible and the guide below is all you need to know:

No previous handicap:

  • Play three rounds of golf with a member or someone with a handicap →If you don’t know anyone who can do this your Golf Development Professional or General Manager will make arrangements for you.
  • Hand the three completed and signed scorecards to your Golf Development Professional or General Manager.
  • You will be emailed a CDH number* and your handicap within one week.
  • You are ready to start enjoying competitive golf!  Your Golf Development Professional or General Manager will get your first competition or roll up booked in for you.

You currently have an active or inactive handicap:

  • Give your Golf Development Professional or General Manager your CDH number.  If you can’t remember your CDH number give them the name of the club it was last held at.
  • You will be emailed with one week confirming your handicap has been transferred and this is now your home club.
  • If you wish to nominate another club as your ‘home club’ please inform your Golf Development Professional or General Manager
  • You are ready to start enjoying competitive golf!  Our Golf Development Professional or General Manager will get your first competition or roll up booked in for you.
